FAPE Croq’cinelle Croquignole Polychinelle Primavera Fondation

Early childhood care on the EPFL-UNIL campus

In order to help parents in the university community to reconcile a professional activity or studies with family responsibilities, the University of Lausanne (UNIL) and the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), with the support of the City of Lausanne and the Canton of Vaud, finance four childcare centres (CVE).

La Croquignole, la Croq’cinelle, le Polychinelle and la Primavera welcome children from the end of the maternity leave until they reach school age (0-4 years).

The four day-care centres are part of the Lausanne day-care network (Réseau-L). Registration is done through the BIP (Lausanne Parent Information Office – Bureau d’Information aux Parents de la Ville de Lausanne).

The Fondation Accueil Petite Enfance EPFL-UNIL (FAPE) is the administrative and decision-making body that manages the day-care centres.

The day-care centre offers 44 places, including 10 in the nursery (up to 18/24 months), 14 in the “trotteurs” (from 18/24 months to 30/36 months) and 20 in the “moyens” (from 30 months to school age).
